About
I work with photographic arts and related processes including analog, mixed media, and digital collage, to explore subjects such as gender and sexuality, home & belonging, and neurodivergence.
My work reflects diverse and hybrid cultural influences and experiences that feed into my use of color, form, and material. I use both analog and digital materials and processes in my work, including digital, polaroid and pinhole camera photography, experimental edits, digital layering, blends and composites, made and found papers of many types, gelli printing, pigments, inks, pastels, and charcoal.
I am deeply affected by patterns and details in nature, the ever-shifting moods of the land, its tiniest botanical creations. Current fascinations also include ancient designs from Japan, textiles from India, and vintage images of animals.
Gaia: Earth Studies
My recent work explores female trauma about sexuality / fertility alongside the grief of the earth in the wake of environmental destruction.
PORTALS
This series reflects on the many ways in which we may our way into and outside of spaces. It explores concepts such as home / belonging, aspects of neurodivergence, and mythic figures like Persephone.
Forest Bathing
Walking in forests offers calm and discovery. I am always fascinated by the mysteries of the land beneath our feet. In Forest-Bathing, I look at trees as our much-ignored and mistreated guardians and guides.
